We view blending as a multi-stranded approach to training, working from experiential learning principles, embracing Open Air and utilising a range of e-Products.
Blending learning has emerged across the industry as a means of combining different learning and development methods. We take a broad view on ‘blending’ and see this as going beyond traditional e-Learning packages. Instead, we view blending as a multi-stranded approach to training, working from experiential learning principles, embracing Open Air and utilising a range of e-Products. Any of these can be combined as optional components of a TRACS Training event.
Products range from conventional e-Learning modules to quiz-style modules and more advanced packages involving team-based collaboration and technical study. These can be assisted by digital material in the form of e-Books and e-Tools, the latter including a variety of products such as cellular models and spreadsheet tools.
In liaison with our partners, we can efficiently generate e-Learning modules and either make these available via our own domain or write them in a format suitable for loading into a client’s existing learning portal. All modules are database-linked so results can be collated and used during face-to-face training sessions. This is often done as a means of identifying knowledge gaps prior to a course; the course emphasis can then be adjusted to avoid teaching ‘known’ information.
Modules can also be equipped to provide virtual field graphics, in the event that courses would benefit from analogue outcrops which cannot be practically accessed from the venue.
