AGR has won a four-year contract to provide training programmes to newly joined graduates at Wintershall.

The partnership, which comes with an option to extend after four years, will see AGR’s training division, TRACS Training provide its ‘Introduction to Exploration & Production (E&P)’ course to Wintershall graduates as part of their graduate induction.

The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the upstream oil & gas sector taking Wintershall graduates through every stage of an oil & gas field, from exploration and appraisal through to field development, production and decommissioning.

"We are delighted to be providing graduates at Wintershall with such a crucial grounding in the oil & gas industry and what we believe will be a platform to successful and productive future careers," said Mark Bentley, Director of TRACS Training.

He continues: "As a key part of their induction, the course will help the new graduates understand all the major technical and commercial considerations that make up the oil & gas lifecycle and demonstrate the links between the many crucial disciplines involved."

Jan Himmerkus of Wintershall, Head of Subsurface Governance, continued: "It’s imperative to us that all our graduates start their careers at Wintershall with a strong understanding of the main exploration & production methods, concepts and technologies. AGR’s courses focus not just on technical skills but also on commercial and behavioral understanding."
